What could this course lead to

If you choose to continue your creative journey after Year 11, you generally have two high-level routes:

  • A-Level Drama & Theatre: A balanced mix of academic theory and practical performance. You will study classic and modern plays, learn about influential directors (practitioners), and sharpen your skills in directing and design.
  • BTEC National in Performing Arts: A vocational, "hands-on" route that mimics a professional conservatoire. It focuses heavily on industry skills, regular performances, and "work-ready" discipline. It is equivalent to A-Levels and is the primary route for students aiming for Drama School.
