Behaviour

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of behaviour, ensuring every child can learn in a safe, respectful and focused environment.

Here at Lift Rawlett we are proud of our track record with regard to pupil support.

As well as form tutors, year heads and pastoral managers we have our dedicated student welfare officer, Mrs Bishop. Students can approach any member of staff should they feel they need support. If that staff member cannot assist they they will ensure the student is signposted to the best person to deal with an issue.

Our Personal Development/RSHE curriculum is underpinned by Social, Emotional and Mental Health research and is designed to educate our students on the importance of physical and mental health, offering a range of strategies our staff and students can utilise to be mentally and physically healthy both now and in the future.

Our developing offer of enrichment activities provides all students with the opportunity to participate in activities that enhance physical, intellectual, emotional and social development which are incredibly important factors in supporting mental health and wellbeing. We actively encourage our staff and students to be proactive in improving and maintaining positive mental health and it is our pledge to provide the education and opportunities for all.

We offer a wide range of opportunities and levels of support for Mental Health and Wellbeing including our:

Bullying

At Rawlett we take every incident of bullying very seriously and implement a program of support as set out in our anti bullying policy below.  To supplement this we take part in anti-bullying week, have a set of anti bullying ambassadors that work with students who are affected by bullying and assist in getting the message out that bullying is not acceptable. We also have regular sessions delivered as part of our personal development curriculum on the different forms of bullying and its effects.

We do not tolerate bullying or any form of prejudice and will always aim to deal with any such incidents swiftly. We have clear procedures for dealing with incidents, and we educate students about their behaviour. We support events such as Anti-Bullying week.

If bullying is taking place, students are encouraged to:
