Combined Science offers a versatile foundation that keeps doors open across a vast range of industries. By studying Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in an integrated way, students develop the "scientific literacy" required for careers in nursing, sports science, primary teaching, and environmental consultancy. It is particularly well-suited for those interested in technical trades (such as electricians or surveyors) or business sectors where understanding sustainable energy and material properties is a competitive advantage. This course ensures you have the broad knowledge base to adapt to the rapidly evolving green economy and technological workforce.
AQA
All students whether taking Triple Science or Combined science will sit six papers: two biology, two chemistry and two physics. Each of the papers will assess knowledge and understanding from distinct topic areas.
Students will be expected to have undertaken core practicals during the course.
Science GCSEs are now 100% exam based.
